District of Columbia
The District of Columbia offers IECMHC through the Healthy Futures Program (Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Project). Children and Youth Behavioral Health Services runs it within the Department of Behavioral Health. The program works in 24 child development centers across the District. Consultation helps improve each program's overall quality. It also helps staff solve a specific issue that affects more than one child, staff member, or family.
