What you get
- Your steps sorted into 3 bands as soon as you finish
- Your top 3 action items
- A full report by email with guidance for every step, resources for each domain, and goal-setting tools
How to rate each step
- Completed. Use this rating if the program has completed this action step.
- In progress. Use this rating if the program has started to work on this action step but has not finished yet.
- Assistance needed. Use this rating if the program is unclear as to how to complete this action step or needs more resources or support to complete it.
- Not yet begun. Use this rating if the program has not yet started to work on this action step but is interested in doing so in the future.
- Opt out. Use this rating if the program is not planning to pursue this action step.
Rate where your program is today. Use Opt out sparingly, if at all.
Questions
Who should take the PPRT?
Your program leadership team. It works best when you rate each step together, because the PPRT is built to spark discussion that leads to action.
Short or full version: which should we take?
The short version covers 31 action steps, at least 1 from each of the 28 sub-domains, and takes 12 to 15 minutes. It gives you the high-level list of action items by domain and your top 3.
The full version covers all 115 action steps and takes about 40 minutes, longer if your team discusses each step. It gives you every step sorted into its band, with the guidance behind each one.
Both end with the same full report by email. Many teams take the short version first, then the full version when they plan for the year.
How do you choose my top 3?
We take the steps you rated Assistance needed first, then Not yet begun. In the short version, the steps a program needs in place first come first within each. In the full version, steps keep the order the PPRT lists them in. The same answers always give the same top 3.
What’s in the full report?
Every step in its band with the guidance behind it, resources for each domain, and the SMARTIE goal tools and action planning template. We email you a link to share with your team.
Can we do it on paper?
Yes. The full PPRT is available as PDF worksheets. Download it as one PDF(opens in a new tab) or by domain: Program Structure(opens in a new tab), Workforce(opens in a new tab), Equity(opens in a new tab), Program Evaluation(opens in a new tab), Policy & Financing(opens in a new tab).
How often should we take it?
Take it again as your program grows. Retaking it helps you track progress and keep your team focused on the steps that matter most.
