This Privacy Policy explains how Attunify, Inc. ("Attunify," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information through the website of the Center of Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (the "Site").
1. Who operates this Site
The Site is funded and operated by Attunify, Inc., a Delaware corporation, in collaboration with Georgetown University's Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities. Attunify is responsible for the personal information collected through the Site.
The Site is privately operated. It is not operated, funded, sponsored, or endorsed by any federal, state, tribal, or local government agency.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, and phone number.
- Professional details: job title, organization, role, state or territory, and professional background.
- Requests and registrations: the content of messages, technical assistance requests, event registrations, survey responses, and enrollment forms.
- Payment details: payments for paid programs are processed by our payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection details: IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Please do not send us information about children, families, or clients. The Site is not designed to receive health or other sensitive information about the children, families, consultees, or clients you serve. Do not include names or other identifying details about them in any form or message. We may delete such information when we find it.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to questions and technical assistance requests;
- register you for events and deliver resources you request;
- send you updates about the Center's resources and events and about Attunify's professional development programs, including the Practical Certificate in IECMHC (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- operate, secure, and improve the Site, including by analyzing how visitors use it;
- produce aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify you; and
- comply with law and enforce our terms.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that host the Site, provide analytics, send email, manage contact records, process forms and payments, and host events and online learning. Their contracts limit them to using the information to provide services to us.
- With Georgetown University, when your request involves Georgetown faculty, staff, or Georgetown-owned materials, or when you ask us to.
- For legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of Attunify, Site users, or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the Center's operations to another organization, including Georgetown University. The recipient must handle the information consistently with this Policy.
- With your consent.
5. Information collected before Attunify operated the Site
Information submitted to iecmhc.org while Georgetown University operated it was collected under Georgetown's policies at the time. If Attunify holds any of that information, we use it only in ways consistent with the notice given when it was collected. We will not use it to market Attunify's paid programs unless you opt in.
6. Cookies, analytics, and Do Not Track
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site.
If you visit from the United States, Google Analytics loads when you arrive, and you can switch it off at any time with "Opt out" in the cookie banner or "Cookie preferences" in the footer. Everywhere else, it loads only after you accept it.
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
Google may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do honor Global Privacy Control, as described in section 14.
7. Your choices and rights
- Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email from us, or contact us.
- Access, correction, and deletion: email programs@attunify.co to request a copy of, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. We will respond within forty-five (45) days.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law. We will respond to those requests as the applicable law requires.
8. Program participants
If you enroll in an Attunify program, the Program Terms(opens in a new tab) and the terms of our learning platform also govern information generated during the program.
9. Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, unless the law requires or permits a longer period.
10. Where information is processed
Attunify is a US company. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our personnel or service providers are located.
11. Children
The Site is intended for adults who work in early childhood and related fields. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Other websites
The Site links to websites that we do not operate. This Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
13. Changes to this Policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date. Before a material change takes effect, we will post a notice on the Site and, where we have your email address, notify you by email. We will not apply a material change to information collected before the change without your consent.
14. Notice for California residents
This section supplements the rest of this Policy for residents of California and describes our practices under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA).
Notice at collection
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email address, phone number, IP address, online identifiers set by cookies | To respond to you, register you for events, send updates you ask for, and secure the Site | For as long as we have a relationship with you, then deleted or de-identified unless the law requires us to keep it |
| Professional information | Job title, organization, role, state or territory, professional background | To answer requests, tailor resources, and understand who uses the Center's work | Same as identifiers |
| Commercial information | Programs you enroll in or ask about | To deliver and administer programs | For as long as needed to deliver the program and meet tax and accounting rules |
| Internet or other electronic network activity | Pages visited, links clicked, referring site | To operate, secure and improve the Site | Analytics data for up to 14 months |
| Approximate location | City or region derived from your IP address | To understand where the Site is used and to apply the right cookie settings | Same as network activity |
We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA, and we do not use any personal information to infer characteristics about you.
Sources. You, your browser or device, and our service providers that host forms, email and events.
Disclosures for a business purpose. We disclose each category above to service providers that host the Site, provide analytics, send email, manage contact records, process forms and payments, and host events and online learning. Their contracts limit them to providing services to us.
No sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in the CCPA. We have not done so since Attunify began operating the Site. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. Because we do not sell or share, honoring it does not change what we collect. Our cookie tool also keeps marketing cookies off when it detects the signal.
Your rights. You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and to whom we disclosed it;
- give you a copy of it;
- delete it;
- correct it if it is inaccurate.
We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
How to make a request. Email programs@attunify.co with "California privacy request" in the subject line.
- We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 calendar days. We may extend that by another 45 days if we tell you why.
- To protect you, we verify requests by matching the information you give us with what we hold. We may ask you to confirm from the email address we have on file.
- You may use an authorized agent. We will ask for proof that you authorized the agent and may ask you to verify your identity with us directly.
Shine the Light. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.
