California

California offers statewide infant and early childhood mental health consultation (IECMHC) through the WestEd IECMHC Network. It's free for child care and early education programs and providers. Consultation can focus on the program, the classroom, or both, depending on what each program needs.

The statewide network works with local First 5 and county IECMHC agencies to reach as many programs as eligibility, funding, and capacity allow.

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) manages the contract. It's funded through the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) as part of California's Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan.
