Learning Objectives

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • Identify resources, publications and interventions for further learning and exploration

The field of trauma, recognizing the impact of trauma on young children and their families, and effective intervention has grown enormously over the past 10 years. There are many resources, publications, and a growing number of interventions for further learning and exploration. The listings here are not exhaustive, but represent some of the key resources specifically focused on children birth — five and their families. A number speak directly to supporting young children and their families in an early care and education environment and consultation such as Head Start and Early Head Start. Others provide valuable information about trauma, its impact on young children and families, interventions, and other services systems that can provide resources, information, education, and support.
